• Check window and door seals. When heat escapes through seams in your windows and doors, your money is being wasted. But you can often spot problems with a thorough once-over. Look for spaces that may have insufficient caulking and make sure weatherstripping is in good condition. While you’re at it, check to make sure all of your locks are working well.
